London based singer-song writer Wuraola Rebecca Abimbola, better known as her stage
name Wu’Ra is the powerhouse vocalist that garnered the attention of the nation as a
contestant on The Voice UK (2021).
Her unique soulful texture and tone made her stand out amongst the judges, and she quickly became a fan favourite with viewers of the ITV reality show. Her mainstream popularity began with her mesmerising blind audition, in which she graced The Voice stage with her rendition of ‘Strange’ by Celeste. The YouTube video now has a notable 919k views to date.
Wu’Ra has been singing all her life and her musical influences derive from her African roots, spirituality, and love for all music genre’s. These foundations collectively fueled Wu’Ra’s passion for singing at the tender age of 9 where she got her start singing at her hometown Church. This passion turned - career has seen Wu’ra perform across the country as a solo artist as well as alongside her newly founded Rose Gold Choir and functions band. Rose Gold have acclaimed great success since debuting and have recently gained recognition and been featured on the BBC.
