UK Gospel singer/songwriter, Mercy Ankama, has released a brand new single titled “I Love You.”
According to Mercy Ankama,
“"I Love You'' is a song that I wrote from God’s perspective to us. The Inspiration for the song came from, feeling loved & looked after by God. Despite the ups & downs life has thrown at myself & other believers, the peace we are able to experience through it all is truly miraculous. The lyrics, though simple, bring to mind so many different scriptures, but the chorus was inspired by Psalm 46:10: “Be still, and know that I am God!...”
Musically it was inspired by her love for RnB & what she used to refer to as a child as “Slow Jamz”. She felt these songs were very cool and laid back, a depiction of her personally, as she explains, “ I think it sounds very cool & laid back… like me! lol, but in all seriousness, I hope every listener is able to connect with the message of the song in some way, but also just enjoys hearing it over & over again."
