After over two years of waiting, award winning gospel singer/songwriter, Mercy Chinwo has announced the release of a new project titled, ‘Elevated’ the EP. She celebrated this announcement with the release of a lead single, 'Confidence.'
This project is released under new label, GNT Nation, a label founded by Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa with an exclusive license to MAD Solutions LLC. The single, along with its stunning potent visuals is the first track off her EP 'Elevated' which is to be released on the 14th of April.
When asked about the inspiration behind the song, the minister said it was inspired by a challenging period in her life. According to her, challenges compelled her to trust God entirely.
“Confidence is more than just a song; it’s a call to action for her fans who have eagerly anticipated the release of this song - an invitation for them to put their trust in God completely. ‘Confidence’ gives hope and assurance of who Christ is,” she said.
'Confidence,' the official music video is one with a potent message. While she marks the beginning of a new journey, she highlights the challenges she faced thus far. The video shows the rocky journey of a young somewhat naive artist, which many have referred to as Mercy herself; and the bad experiences that left her discouraged to point where she almost quit music. It shows how she was able to, through her faith, cross over stronger, and birth this new song, 'Confidence.'
She redirects focus back to God, the ultimate support system. Chinwo lends her voice to the voiceless, encouraging them that it’s never too late to turn whatever disappointment they face into a blessing. With confidence in God, victory is certain! She reminds us that irrespective of the challenges we experience, we can always find help in your faith in God.
